42 active nodes for the Internet Computer across three Belgian data centers. First Belgian Node Provider since May 2021. Operational expertise that informs every venture investment we make in protocols, infrastructure, and decentralized systems.
The Internet Computer (IC) is a blockchain-based extension of the public internet — a decentralized cloud where full-stack applications run directly on the protocol, without traditional servers or hosting providers. Allusion operates the hardware that makes that possible inside Belgium.
Networks rely on servers to process and store data. Industrial server hardware for the IC is run in top-level data centers to ensure maximum availability and the highest performance. We were the first Belgian Node Provider to onboard in May 2021, and have grown to 42 active nodes across three locations.
The infrastructure is intentionally over-provisioned: redundancy across data centers, dual-rack capacity, dedicated network paths. Decentralization without industrial discipline is a slogan, not a system.
Aviate Labs is the operational arm — a research-and-services lab building the tooling that lets enterprises trust and scale decentralized networks. The core product, Node Monitor as a Service (NMaaS), gives Node Providers across the Internet Computer ecosystem comprehensive monitoring and support so they can focus on their main operations.
The lab also sits on the academic advisory boards of two Flemish research projects led by KU Leuven DistriNet and VUB Software Languages Lab — SODISA (blockchain/Web3, SBO/FWO funded) and CodeGuard (AI code assistants, VLAIO COOCK+ approved March 2026).
Aviate is also the operational partner on HORUS, a five-party maritime and dual-use Web3 consortium with a demonstrator scheduled at BlueBridge Ostend in October 2026.
Belgium's local hub for the Internet Computer ecosystem — events, meetups, and a coworking space in development at Predikherenlei. Where the protocol meets the builders.
Meetups, hackathons, developer onboarding, and a permanent place for the community to convene in central Ghent.
Predikherenlei 4 — the gallery floor and ground-floor coworking, by appointment.
Run operationally by Giovanni Bianchi. Paul De Cannière serves as Belgian ICP Community Organizer.
